Merchandiser (Former Employee) says"They treat their merchandisers’ terrible, no matter how good of a job you do it’s never enough. The merchandiser supervisor would hire woman employees after looking them up on Facebook to see if they were good looking/single before hiring. The management had no clue as to what was going on and leaving you as the middle man all the time. Would never recommend anyone to go here, bad pay and benefits. Cons: Very unprofessional"
Merchandiser (Former Employee) says"Long story short my time with Atlantic was extremely terrible. Lack of communication from management, put in no win situations, no empathy with life situations, oh and not paying for work completed. That’s right, I never got paid for my last 2 weeks I worked there. Cons: Everything"
Merchandiser (Former Employee) says"salesman/account manager matter more than merchandiser. never speak up against one saying they arent doing their job or a Good job.made my life heck...overordering not ordering right stuff store complain to you. management will look for ways to get YOU fired instead of fixing it. Cons: idiot management"
Pallet Builder (Former Employee) says"Low pay. Absolutely no advancement. People work for over a year just to get a measly 5 days vacation. It’s a Slave driver operation. Never know when you’re going to get to go home. Cons: Literally everything"
Account Manager (Former Employee) says"Bonuses are not obtainable. Management does not trust it's people and benefits are taken away daily. Not a good place for advancement and all departments are looking for other job opportunities outside the company. Don't waste your time applying here. It's just a waste and you'll regret it. Management is constantly looking for "someone to fire". You will be micromanaged here everyday and will end up losing money if you are in the car policy! Stay away!! Cons: Mostly everything! Keep looking for another job and company. This is not it!"
Merchandiser (Former Employee) says"Cedar falls branch was garbage, couldn't keep an competent ASM, eliminated overtime and prevented unionization. When it was slow hourly employees were expected to work less than 40 hours while salaried employees didn't have to worry if they were going to make enough to pay bills that month. You will start to feel used and find out they really don't care about you. Cons: dead end job"
Feild Technician (Former Employee) says"Supervisor was hostile to work with. He loves to belittle his staff and was a pervert. How he spoke to everyone he is luck nobody has sued him. Overall horrible Cons: Boss was a jerk and i was under trained"
Merchandiser (Former Employee) says"Manager was incompetent and useless. I was told to "suck it up" when I complained about how things were done. We could have perhaps worked something out, but I was not given that opportunity. Lazy co-workers not pulling their weight, and the hard-working ones have to pick up the slack and work even harder. Complaints about lazy employees never seem to go anywhere. They say they care about you, but they don't. Cons: Everything else is awful."
Employee (Current Employee) says"Great people to work with daily. Upper management doesn’t understand differences from market to market. If you’re not based in a main office, don’t bother trying to be included. Don’t be fooled by profit sharing promise- it doesn’t exist anymore. Great before they bought more territory, then management fell apart. Cons: Terrible upper management"
Repair Technician (Former Employee) says"Cedar Rapids branch of Atlantic Bottling Coca-Cola has management issues. These issues have caused me a great deal of stress and anxiety. Training severely lacking."
Route Driver (Former Employee) says"If you plan on having a life outside of work, this job is not for you. You don't go home until your trailer is empty. Some days could be 8 hours, the next could be 12,13, even 14 hours. There's no telling when you'll be off. It makes it very difficult to balance a home life with this job. If you have non-DOT compliant equipment and you report it to the appropriate parties; You may get stuck with the same, broken equipment, multiple more times throughout the week. It's your record on the line if you get pulled over, not theirs. So they don't really seem to care. To them, it's all about getting product out the door. The company and beverage industry alike are just a dog eat dog environment. There are multiple truck driving jobs out there that pay much better that don't require nearly the amount of physical labor this job requires. Cons: Equipment, Pay, Management, Moral"
Delivery Driver (Former Employee) says"Worked for Company for 3 yrs with min advancement chances, when went above and beyond company would stab you in back. even after i left employees contacting me saying they make jokes about your time with them with insults and lies not a good place to work for and often employees would get no payraises"
Account Manager (Former Employee) says"Take a lot of your day to get things done. Have little time to get tasks done in a day at each stop. They try to help, but become just another pawn. Very little development given. Cons: Goals, compensation"
Merchandiser (Former Employee) says"You can work pretty much independently. Work is overwhelming a lot of times. No weekends off sat sun. Spur of the moment staying later then expected. Management is good."
Sales Rep (Current Employee) says"Workplace culture is not good in some plants. Passive aggressive Management. "Good Ol' Boy Club" is very clear. Less than 1% of woman in management. The East side is not a healthy working environment. The most enjoyable part of the job, Customers!"
IT Manager (Former Employee) says"Upper management is completely ignorant to technology and what the realistic costs and efforts are needed to do the work. You are asked to put in what ever effort is needed to accomplish unrealistic goals set by upper management. Cons: Ignorant Management"
Swing Driver (Former Employee) says"Minimal pay for the amount of work actually done. Working odd hours 6 days a week leave little time for a life outside of work. Cons: Hours, Pay, Management"
